2006

The New Year Started with a bang when

"Amy" was awarded the first Bitch CC of 2006

and "Ellie" the Reserve CC from

the Junior Bitch Class at Manchester

Championship Show in January.

At the end of the Month "Alice" attended

the Grand Final of the Pedigree Stakes

appearing for the first time as a Veteran and

we are delighted to say she once again kept the

flag flying for the Breed and was awarded

3rd place.

The middle of February brought about the first

joint Championship ran by the Yorkshire and

Pennine Corgi Clubs.

Our own Penliath Desert Storm

"Becks" was chosen by all round Judge

Stuart Mallard as his Dog CC which was a

tremendous thrill to us as this was the

100th CC for our Kennel.  It was also a

special show for us as "Reggie"

Penliath Bean Add (AI) made his first

appearance in the ring and to our delight

was awarded Best Puppy.  "Reggie" is

the result of the importation of frozen semen

from that wonderful Pembroke Corgi

Am. & Cdn. Ch. Stonecroft's Second Sight,

"Mr Bean".

To our delight in April Mr. Kevin Dover

awarded "Reggie" Best Puppy in Breed

and the Reserve CC at Working and Pastoral

Breeds of Wales, "Reggie" is the Breeds

Top Puppy at the halfway stage.

"Ronnie" has attended a couple of Shows winning

well including Best Puppy Dog at Southern

Counties.

We were delighted when "Ellie" was awarded

the Reserve CC at Bath and Bournemouth

having been out of the show ring for a

couple of months.

"Alice" has only attended one Show this year and

found herself once again the overall winner

of the Masterfoods Veteran Stakes at

Birmingham National in May.  Her next

appearance in the Show Ring will be on the

29th January 2007 at the Pedigree Masterfoods

Stakes Grand Final for the 8th year

in succession.

"Amy" has also kept the flag flying for our small

by taking the Bitch CC at Paignton and

Group 3 at Leeds.

Penliath and Penarlton have a new Champion

namely

Ch. Penliath Bean Add (A.I.)

otherwise known as "Reggie".

What a tremendous thrill it was when

"Reggie"  was handed his first CC by Mr Terry Thorn

and then only three weeks later Mr. Jack Bispham

handed him his second CC and first Best of Breed

at Birmingham where "Amy" was awarded her

15th CC.  To our delight Miss Sarah Taylor

chose "Reggie" as her Dog CC winner one

week later at Richmond giving him his

UK title at the tender age of 15 months.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Kristen and Anita

of Stonecroft's Corgis for allowing us to import

frozen semen from

Cdn. & Am. Ch. Stonecroft's Second Sight

whose beautiful type and temperament shines

through in his Sons.

Penliath Mr. Bean (A.I.) "Ronnie" has attended

very few Shows this year leaving the limelight to

his Brother "Reggie" but when he has ventured

out he has won well and we are delighted to

say that at Darlington "Ronnie"  qualified for

the final of  the Petplan Junior Stakes to be held

in September 2007.

2005

As 2005 draws to a close and all activities in

the show ring are now over we are delighted to

say that "Amy" has been awarded the Leslie Perrins

Memorial Trophy for Top Pembroke Corgi of 2005.

She also gained the most CC's awarded in the year

which gives us great pleasure to be awarded

the Ch. Belroyd Nut Cracker Trophy.

Penliath Ice 'N' Slice "Ellie" had the honour

of becoming the Top Puppy for the

Welsh Corgi League in 2005.
